What do you think about fxclub?
I think it is a fine idea. Cause fx it is a solitaire profession and we as the rest of the mortals need to connect with people alike. Cannot talk about fx with my wife because she does not understand. I Have a partner who is a trader too but he’s an idiot, doesn’t use risk management.
So great idea.
Can we have matching jackets, like on SoA??? OOOOOOoooo and a secret handshake???
Guys… are you still alive?
Sounds like a great idea.
there are times that the only means to talk about fx is in forums, I’ve tried talking about it with friends and family members but all i got was a jaw drop. as if i was talking in codes or something. an fx club would be really nice
unless you are talking about fxclub the broker >.<
Yeah, feeling alone in this world. Cannot talk about with anyone beacuse nobody understands the subject, some are my friends overnight thinking money rains on me or just some communist punk start to yell at me because they think our professions os evil.
Some say what i do is just gambling or some say i’m gonna lose everything or my favourite group who always says “it cannot be that difficult”, i alwyas say to them “why don’t you trade for yourself?” But lately i’ve learn to tolerate it, i don’t care what people say or think, i am not the one who needs to be right, that feeling is expensive.
One final reflexion: “Whe only have to answer to ourselves, it’s our money, our loses, our pain, our problem”
Regards.
Trading in general is a very lonely especially doing it from home. Not many people have the right mindset to appreciate it. Just consider how many people here still work on their mindsets and this site targets traders. Just keep on plugging eventually you will find like minded people until then it’s just going to end in frustration and annoyances. Cheers
As long as I get a cool decoder ring I am in
law of attraction, soon, you will be around the same type of people,
i have 1 friend, and he dont even ask anything, he thinks Im just on some personal time waisting journey, so I dont even talkk about it to anyone.
Try to tech your friend how to invest.
I completely agree it is hard to talk to other people about forex. I have one friend thats wants to learn how to trade, but his wife won’t let him because “thats money that can be spent on better things.” I tried to tell him just create an account without her knowledge, but he swears she will find out somehow.
Alright on to how do we actually do this? Do we appoint a leader, do we make chapters in each country in. In the US do we make chapters in each state and let them govern themselves, yet all be for the greater good of the club? Lets get some ideas going.
Welcome to FX Club. The first rule of FX is: you do not talk about FX. The second rule of FX is: you DO NOT talk about FX! Third rule of FX: someone yells “arrrrgh!”, goes broke, stops out, the trade is over. Fourth rule: only two guys to a trade. Fifth rule: one trade at a time, fellas. Sixth rule: No shirts, no shoes. Seventh rule: trades will go on as long as they have to. And the eighth and final rule: if this is your first time at FX, you have to trade.
Damm keyboard, try to teach your friend how to invest
I’ll be the club treasurer… everyone send me your dues.
There is a chat room. Plenty of traders and a few pros hang out in there that will discuss everything from guitars to CoTs.
If you mean FXCLUB broker, then I have had a good experience with them. Converted my money to over 7005 and got paid ina few days, no problems. Plus they also offer zero spread trading and spread refund for losing positions, that’s unique.
a+++
There is not really a way for this. It must be hierarchic and strict to make sure everything under controll.
People are too independent for this imo and there will be conflicts and leavers as time passes. Go to the chat and see how people argue there.
A lot of professional trader who leaves his company and try to start his/her own business start to lose. Why do these once succesful traders start to lose in their own? Because they lost their manager who kept a hawk eye on them and strictly controlled all of their doing while they traded. Also, there were a healthy race spirit to stay in the game longer and make more profit, most importanlty prove yourself before the others. and te rules were set to stone. If they breach them then they get fired. Thats it.
Traders in their own tend to break rules. Then they lose. Then they want avenge. Do not want me to continue…
What Mr Tang said was right. Two guy for a trade is fine. But they need strict rules, they have to control each other. They cannot hide anything in trading before the others eye. Also they must not be jelaous for themselves. They have to share their resources to work together for the optimal results. Most importantly they have to controll each other. It has to be that thing risk is not only yours. It just make you more concentrated. It is difficult especially at the beginning.
For example there is a morning and Mr X and Mr Y decide to trade together. They discuss abot the starting steps. Then they pay $500-$500 and make a deposit of $1000 with a broker. The first problem just has come. They have to make sure no one of them will quit and take the money and vanish
Okay. They made it. Now they have to decide when to trade and where. They decide to make it from Monday to Friday from 7gmt to 16 gmt with one hour break if the market allows it.
Now risk. Also they have to make a plan and stick with it and most importantly control each other to make sure this. They both have to have the ability to cut any trade if any emotional struggle situation shows up. For example Mr X is getting hot head and starting to feel a real pain to close a losing trade. Mr Y sees the situation with clear mind. What he wants to cut the loss. When he tells Mr X to close it, Mr X starts to swear and refuses to cut, strongly believes the market will return so they can break even. In this case Mr Y has to have the ability to close the trade and have the balls to do so. But what gonna happen after that?
Lets assume everything is going fine and they wanna extend their portfolio. So they hire two more guys and start to advertise to get money from the public. Will that influence their previous results. It definietly will. More money more problems more responsibility…
There are great advantages to trade in a small club or ring but strictly rules are must. Controll is also a must.
Other than that just chit chatting and making predictions in the air is disadvantageous. Without control it hurts more than helps.
Sorry for my english I hope everyone get the picture.
Regards
So you say guitar because of TalonD’s avatar? They I say they also can discuss about bows
Bows are good conversation too!
