This is the second time this has happened to me. I’m wondering if other FXCM users experience it as well. Last time, my indicators couldn’t find last months high or low. Now an entire week of price is missing! I know this often happens during weekends when the feed isn’t loading correctly. But it usually fixes itself on trading days. I’m a bit disappointed.
Anybody else see this? I’m using Marketscope.
F5 updating does nothing. Closing and reopening does nothing. I’ve tried loading charts on 3 different computers. It’s definitely server side. I just want to confirm with other users.
Their software is good. I like them other than the missing feed. I’ve been with Interactive Brokers before and their software/service were atrocious. I even had to pay for their feed, which was slow. I’m happy with FXCM, minus what’s going on right now. What broker do you recommend? I’ve only tried those 2 for forex.
#1 - Please provide a chart so we can see what you’re talking about. #2 - Depending on when you logged in, the FXCM team performs scheduled maintenance over the weekend (as you mentioned) and the charts will sometimes be “off”. #3 - Piggybacking off #1: How can we expect to help you if you don’t provide specific information? Which pair are you looking at? Which timeframe? Is it a demo or live account? What country are you located in? Is this on your desktop or mobile app? Have you compared your price feed to other data providers?
I’d also ignore pipslip. “find a real broker.” isn’t really a well-thought out response to your issue and contributes nothing to this website.
Do you use FXCM? If not, you shouldn’t be answering. You can help by telling me if it’s the same on your chart or not.
I’m in the US. It’s missing across all pairs, live account, desktop. A whole week is missing.
As I’m writing this, it appears their price has been updated. The “off” charts over the weekend that you described was what I was seeing today. Maybe because it was New Years that they were slow to update their feed. Although last month, for an entire week the highs and lows of the previous month was completely off.
Wouldn’t have answered if I don’t currently use FXCM.
I’m not missing any data on my charts, and I logged in yesterday to see all the gaps.
Can’t speak on any technical issues you may have had, was just trying to respond to let you know that your original post was too vague. These forums are notorious for that, so, I sometimes take it upon myself to call that out because if members were more specific about their questions / problems, they’d get more replies rather than more experienced folks simply pulling up their post, and passing over it due to an extreme lack of detail and little-to-no attention paid to the finer points.
Not taking a stab at you, merely commenting on what I see frequently across the board here.
Ok. I’m seeing the problem again. I remember seeing it on more pairs but now it’s definitely on USD/JPY. Can a FXCM (US) user check to see if they can see price for 12/28-12/31 on a H1, H4, or D1 chart? It’s there on a M15 but not any higher…
I saw it too. And it is not the first time this happened. If I don’t watch closely for that I can end up moving my stops to the wrong levels. FXCM: C’mon man!
And just how successful are you?
As all you ever post here are negative comments with nothing to back them up and no solid advice to offer, what other conclusion are we to draw other than you are another bitter loser trolling the forum
