Okay guys here we go with a brand new expert advisor.
There are a couple of things I really like about this ea. For one it is no one of those over marketed piece of crap ea’s that gets shoved down our throat. Its a major plus that the developer is a trader and not a marketer! That brings me to the second thing. The ea developer is a long time trader. A true trader will always make the best ea’s and have the best strategy’s!
As for this ea. First impressions are nice. It already wona trade for me I thin k I am finally free from “the curse” You know when you finally buy an ea and put it on your account and its first trade is a loser. ugg that used to happen often but wsfr and now this one has broken the cycle. Definitely inspires confidence!
Promax trades EUR/USD 1 minute. I don’t know the strat yet and I have not analyzed there results yet either but my first trade did close at +9 pips looks like sl was 120 pips but that may be the visible stop. I will have to delve deeper into there results to see what stops look like and tp’s for that matter.
The developer seems very sincere. I have been in communication with him and I can tell he stands by his work. He is in it for the long haul. One thing I know for sure is that ea’s fail over time because they don’t “adapt” with changing market conditions. When I see a very active developer who is committed to upgrades I feel better knowing he will be keeping his ea profitable in the ever changing market landscape.
His forward tests do look excellent at a glance. I would link to his site but its an affiliate link and I don’t want you guys to think I am spamming or anything. As usual I will offer my unbiased opinions.
One other thing. I notice the developer also includes a trading plan with his ea, further proof he is a real trader and knows what he is doing.
Another ea to watch. Yay!

What is the point of that?
Perhaps this is a real trader without backtesting experience.

I googled FxPromax and found an ea: It advertises a backtest with 25% modelquality, cost: 149USD initial fee+39.95USD/month.
I dont belive thats the EA youre recommending? Dont you have a non-reflink? Or could you mail the link via pm?

Interesting that the EA comes with a trading plan. Could you tell us more about it?
Most EA’s are black boxes, and theres not much you can do to tweak it. Supplying the customer with a trading plan in such cases are rater interesting. Does that mean you’ll actually are able to influence the EA’s performance? ‘You did not follow the trading plan, hence you lost a crapoly of pesetas today!’ lol:50:

What exactly makes this ea interesting? The backtest is worthless because of the ridiculous model quality. And the live test started July, 18th - not very reliable, either. The price is expensive, considering the monthly costs.

To be honest the reasons I find it interesting have nothing to do with the crappy website or any backtests or even the forward test. I find it interesting because I have been in communication with the developer and 1. he is a trader himself and 2. he really stands by his work and is committed to the long haul.
It is a Pimus product and he does offer a 60 day guarantee so nothing to lose and everything to gain. Also 95% win rate sounds nice (if its true)
Only time will tell and as we all know forex involves risk. For me I am willing to take a shot with a fellow trader who has a great ea versus a slick marketer who can’t trade for sh**
So yea I will continue to forward test and we shall see what happens
promax has been quit sofar. I think that is good because better not to trade than to lose right? The win rate on this ea is supposed to be high. It’s still 100% Lets see how long she can keep this feeling alive.
We have entered the dreaded month of August. Be careful out there, the markets are thinner than usual.
It says that it comes with a “strategy” and you have been speaking to the developer but I don’t understand why it only takes 9 pips profit every time? What style of an EA is this? Very interested, and like the high win/loss ratio … but if it trades only a few times a month for 9 pips? Can’t put my finger on it.
[B]FX Promax just blew my account![/B] I had it set .1 lots and it traded .53 lots and blew my test account! Unbelievable!
Between that and my trade bonus getting withdrawn from hotforex at the last minute. If I was here I would have shot myself! Unbelievable!!! Do not buy this ea! Apparantly something in it’s recovery mode decided to open a .53 position and of course ti was while I was not here at the computer
Okay in fairness to fxpromax I was not running the latest release. I really have no idea what recovery mechanism they used or now use so I will keep this one on demo and watch it trade. I will update the first post with a demo account just for promax.
I just read on the homepage of this EA: “[I]Will never blow your account. Is Very Safe and Stable.[/I]”. :36: How can they claim this if it has not been around for more than 2 months? Also, I do not see any significant drawdown recently on the live account testimonials from their website. I also think that many people hate the idea of having to pay a monthly subscription.
