GBP funky New Years price

Does anybody know what happened here? GBP/USD Broker is MBT

Dec 31 I managed to ride that nice drop almost 200 pips. (wish I was using real money). Then I closed that posn to lock in profits and opened a ‘Market Stop’ short at 1.9838. Today when the charts came alive again, the price was corrected to around 1.9864/69 and I’m showing a profit. What’s up with that?

My logic tells me I should be in the red on that posn. I know I went short because when the ask goes down, my profits going up.

I’ve got to be missing something.

Another thing, I can’t exit the postition. The orderbook keeps saying destination not connected. Makes me leary of going live with them.

LOL

One little glitch (during the holidays, too) and you’re leery about going live with them? Good luck with the other brokers, then.

The best way to find out about that error is to contact EFX’s support line. They’d know better than anyone what the problem is and can fix it for you.

I already contacted them this morning and they said it was because they were closed. Christmas and New Year are the two days they’re closed.
They also said glitches in the demo don’t reflect live, so ok.

I just need to be more mindful of the holidays.

Yes, a lot of people forget that things are different during the holidays. Brokers close, liquidity is down, spreads increase. That’s why most traders don’t trade during the holidays. It’s not worth the aggravation.
