I’m just doing ok. Staying afloat. I have losses, but they’re not out of control like before. This is a big step for me.

The first step is learn how NOT to lose money.

Next is to be more consistent.

For me it’s really important to analyze losses. Maybe I read something wrong. Perhaps there’s a part of my strategy that is unnecessary.

That has helped me a lot. I have to consider that there are chart details I’m watching, which may, in fact, be irrelevant.

I have had a “Better than I thought” first quarter. Currently running an 8-week experiment with a 5k real money account.
My strat is working great…as long as I can avoid the News…which isn’t as easy as it was over the past 4 years.

not doing too much. I’m still getting familiarized with all that is forex-related so I’ve been taking it easy so far. better keep my money safe for when I actually know what I’m doing.

As usual not every trader is making money from the market, but the Q1 is different. I mean am down in a losing streak on the prop firm account I’ve been trying to make money from since last year. BTC almost finished my money, it keep dropping while I was buying hopping it will keep going up this year. Well the next phase might be good

Q1 was up and down especially Jan. Managed to close the Quarter green, however. I had significant drawdown in Jan, but stayed consistent to my rules and my strategy managed to recover in Feb and March was basically flat.

First time commenting ever. As a complete noob, I only have a very small account. Not much experience trading demo nor live yet but I already started live trading XAUUSD around the 3rd week of March 2025. Won around 3.5% my first day (beginner’s luck ), but then arrogance got the better of me which made me lose about 75% of my account the next two days due to impatience, arrogance, overconfidence, and general lack of knowledge about what I’m doing :grimacing: :cold_sweat:

I believe I would not have experienced that 70% drawdown had I just waited for some time before closing my trades OR at least used stoplosses not manual closing OR studied a lot first and used demo before doing live OR had better risk management and mindset/psychology. But I was in for a rude awakening, I realized that the market can really eat you alive and burn your accounts if you let it, so before completely burning my small account I decided to stop live trading for a few days. Then, I got back into it with a better mindset & psychology and better risk management. And now I recovered much of my original account/deposit, and I’m now just down 25% of my initial deposit (coming from that initial 75% drawdown). Still beginner’s luck, I know, and I know that it’s a small feat but I still consider that a huge win for me. What a rollercoaster ride these past few weeks have been

I know I’m just almost gambling at this point, but I’m eager to really learn from babypips and from you all great guys and gals, and create a system of my own that will be consistently profitable, slow and steady, and with better risk management. Hoping for a good and profitable year for all of us! Cheers :clinking_glasses:

I have not been profitable this quarter but i also have not faced any huge loss like before i am slowly steping up my trading strategy and also learning from my mistake i no longer look for sniper entry i focus more on a good risk to reward

It’s been majorly a learning experience for me. I started journalling my grades more this quarter and stepped down a bit from risking live capital; this is because I want to get my job/business income up a bit to reduce the pressure of having to make money from trading. To a reasonable extent, I know I have got my technicals sorted, it’s now all about diligent and consistent work on my psychology coupled with appropriate risk management… These I know will bring my desired success in the markets

Thank you

Grinding through Phase 1 on my $10K account—had some ups and downs but kept risk in check. A few losses set me back, but solid wins brought me back on track. Staying patient, following the plan, and almost at the finish line! :fire::bar_chart:

IMy biggest problem is my phycology because i keep moving from one strategy to another!!!

It was with ups and downs. 1 month of wondering what to do, after I was rattled about some losses.

I’ve been away for a while. Just come by as a regular reader, most times spent on Google news.
Just coming back from trading break. So it’s safe to say am afloat. No big loss, no big win.

By the end of January, my bots had made a profit of +7.61%. But then a leader of a country with his erratic behaviour caused my bots to make a loss of -6.79%. By the end of Q1 they had recovered slightly to +0.89%. So I can say that I neither gained nor lost anything in Q1.

OMG I almost missed this. :open_mouth:

In the beginning, I thought I was doing well. I was winning most of my trades, despite having relatively small position sizes. But more recently, I’ve been in a losing streak so I feel like I just returned the wins I got in the earlier part of the year. I hope Q2 will be better for all of us though!

Woah dude, I was going to congratulate you on the nice day, and then bam, 75% down. Holy crap!

Was that trading gold? How many trades was that? What happened?!?!?

Definitely sounds less stressful! Nice job!

Welcome back!

I had a profitable quarter. One of my better quarters. Took 213 trades. Padding the account with some wins. Feels great. Market volatility has been crazy the last couple weeks, and even though I was profitable, I have a bunch of losing trades I’m still sitting in, but still think they will come around. Patience is my lesson right now!
