Its actually bizarre that how can such a broker can simply take his hands off from this kind of big problem. It is their second major problem in this very month and look at the responses from their support that they are not aware of anything. Their platforms were frozen for nearly 1 complete hour and have a look on their charts , I just can’t believe, is it for a real? First the price feeds got manipulated and all of a sudden there were big spikes in the market which never happened with any other broker and now their technology screwed up. I was stuck with my open positions and now i have decided to close my account with them. This actually calls for the termination of their trusted broker designation now. They cannot call 1 HOUR FREEZE just a temporary technical problem.
They apologize for any inconvenience. Some trading strategies could lose money due to an outage. That’s more than an inconvenience. Those of us who choose to trade on electronic platforms know there can be outages. However, having a broker that doesn’t seem to be on top of server outages, and barely shows signs of caring, is very concerning.
They should have admit that traders could have loose money due to TW fault.
They should have compensate us for such loss.
I recall similar situation with OctaFx when they were able to compensate all wrong trades.
Ive chosen Tradersways because of the Trusted designation at the top of this thread but i dare to say TW doesnt deserve that…
Few days ago i struggled to close an open position for 4 minutes… Unfortunately i was unsuccessful because of “off quote” issue. Off quotes are normal but this time it was off limits.
Their servers respond 15 seconds later saying"off quote"
i took screenshots and emailed them the situation and days later their response was:

It’s great to have Clint following up this way. I am watching TW very closely.
That said, I think we traders shouldn’t act too entitled. We are in business relationships with our brokers. They do their best, we do our best. We should be self-interested – that’s healthy – but not quick to judge and demand things of each other. I want freedom to trade the way I want but I understand that certain realities get in the way of me doing that 100% of the time.
If I find a reason to distrust a broker, I’ll be clear and detailed about why that is.

I think these particular “technical issues” are reason enough to not trust any broker, and I don’t care who it is or what they offer or what their track-record was in the past.
I don’t believe for one second that the MT4 broker server would ever pass through rouge-data from a single LP when the aggregate bridge feed is showing better quotes (assuming they use more than one LP). One giant red-flag is that no other ECN broker suffered the same tech-issue from this “LP”. This means they’re either lying about their capabilities, lying about the nature of their technical issue, or they were only using a single (and exclusive) LP. Any one of those things is grounds for broker-divorce.
The good news is they have fixed this issue.
The bad news is I recall when IcMarkets had the same issue it was repeating for weeks before they finally fisx it.
The worse news is they dont care to inform clients nor to compensate the losses
A friend told me this am he was refunded by TW the amount lost during that slippage/outage.
I was in a small counter position (and asleep) at the time, so there was no loss for me.
Careful with offshore accounts. OECD and AEoI are crackign down on them.
FINPROTRADING update.
Well, as others have remarked, FinProTrading.com ECN Forex is about the best we U.S. persons have access to… However, I believe that their low commissions are likely due to using a small set of liquidity providers, maybe one such provider; and this is OK by me, EXCEPT that during the 21:00 - 23:00 time slot GMT they have ridiculously wide spreads. This is the Sydney session prior to Tokyo, I believe… On many of the oddball pairs like GBP/NZD and others in that category; we get 10, 20, 30 PIPs SPREADS Bid/Ask !!! So that’s a no-go no-trade-time-period for us.
[EDIT] just to make it clear. We are trading ONLY Forex and only the 28 major pairs; so this says nothing about FinProTrading’s other securities, symbols, offerings, etc…
But outside those hours, spreads are great, and their is no broker that can match their low commissions and detailed nature of their data feed.
So I don’t fully understand why spreads are so wide during lower liquidity conditions; and attribute it to a single or small number of liquidity providers. I am quite sure that other brokers, such as Tradersway who aggregate more LP’s (maybe) would be showing narrower spreads during those time periods.
I could come up with the actual data on this (since I do log it), and if I have time I will post it; BUT I want to make it clear that FinProTrading.com is an exceptional broker and my personal favorite of those which are accessible to us U.S. persons !

I’ve signed up with FinPro recently after sifting through this thread and reading your reviews.
I’m pleased with the spreads and execution (although commissions are $4/lot on their ECN account) but I also noticed something that I’ve submitted to support.
Their live server opened 5 minutes later than usual on Sunday, which caused all their candles to be shifted by 5 minutes. The price is current, but the candlestick formation is wrong. This is noticeable even comparing their Demo server.
I was going to paste pictures but my status is too new lol.
You can log in and check USDJPY 15 minute or 5 minute feed on both Demo and Live servers and you will notice the different candlestick formation, pay attention to the wicks.
Hmmm good info. I don’t really pay much strict attention to Candles but interesting…

Finpro/Turnkey server time is also NY+3hrs so the daily candle may look a little off. Plus they paint a separate candle for Sunday as well. Not really a big deal for me just had to tweak a few things on my setup for the adjustment.
Overall pretty happy with them, great spreads plus margins on energy and metals are great.
I just checked and I’m pretty sure their server is GMT which is EST + 4. Currently 3:05 GMT, same time is displayed on MT4. And right now it’s 11.05pm in NY.
Agree their spreads and margin on metals are great.
FinProTrading server is GMT…

I am new to Forex trading and just discovered this thread. I am currently trading a demo account with Capital City Markets and am not impressed by them. I was researching Offshore brokers and, based on the low costs, I chose to look more into FinPro Trading. I had a couple of chats with them and I felt that some of the information they are presenting regarding regulation and commissions have been deceiving and inconsistent. They have no regulation and they were quoting the commission on an ECN account as one way while the VIP account is round trip. The term sheets look exactly the same!!! I then found this chat and some of my concerns have been alleviated.
I opened a Demo account with FinPro Trading and noticed that the broker was actually Turnkey Forex. I found that company’s website, which is less informative than FinPro Trading, but noticed that the account structure is very close to FinPro Trading, including the names of the account. According to the FAQ, they accept US customers. However, I have noticed some differences which make Turnkey more attractive
ECN Acct:
Leverage - FinPro_ 400:1 Turnkey 200:1
Commission - FinPro_ $4 Per 100K one way Turnkey $2 Per 100K one way
Spreads - I believe they average 0.2 Pips on the EURUSD for both
Deposit Bonus - Both will provide 100% match up to $20K
VIP Account (25K initial deposit):
Leverage - FinPro 100:1 Turnkey 100:1
Commission - FinPro $2 Per 100K round trip (as stated to me on chat) Turnkey $2 (not stated if OW or RT)
Spreads - I believe they average 0.2 Pips on the EURUSD for both
Deposit Bonus - FinPro None Turnkey 100% match up to $20K
Based on those facts, I my questions are:
- Does anyone have any experience with Turnkey? Are they related to FinPro? If so, how?
- Are the people at Turnkey reputable?
- Does anyone know what there company’s really charge in commission on these accounts? Do I need to open a demo account on each one to get the true answer?
- Based on the ability to receive a 100% deposit bonus match of $20K, the Turnkey VIP account looks the most attractive. What should I be concern about?

If you scroll up, there’s plenty discussed about Finpro/Turnkey.
I believe Finpro is an IB via Turnkey. Finpro has a few different instruments offered then Turnkey, like WTI and DAX futures and NGAS spot.
I have live accounts with both but mostly trade with Finpro for their great spreads/margins on energy and metals. Haven’t had any problems with them at all.
