Has anyone else been scammed or is it just me?

Anyone traded with FX Leader. Deposited 10K GBP and they are just running me around that 10K is not enough. not worth their time to trade such amounts! Honestly! At least let me withdraw it, but NO. The card I used expired and they will only allow withdrawals through the same deposit methods. I need help! How can they do this?

Damn. £10K. Anyway. They’re making excuses. Even if they can no longer process the refund back to an expired card: they are able to do a bank wire transfer back to the same account that was linked to the card (which you will have to prove to them of course). But this being said: I’ve had an amount processed back to an already expired card (not from them of course) and no problem as the banks don’t simply unlink an expired card from an account and forget about it.

I looked on their site for you and I don’t see any regulation whatsoever so I’ve no idea what you’re going to do if they don’t refund you.

Doesn’t anybody do due diligence anymore?

Threaten them with the police, then report them

It looks like I have made a big mistake. Thanks for your advice but I need a solution.

Oh dear!! Sorry about that. I have not traded with them. I did consider them for signals in the past and the reviews seemed a bit fishy so I looked elsewhere.

You may have to look into their physical location and see about contacting the regulators in that region or Interpol (in your location) to help you get your funds back.

Hope this helps.

*Interpol is International Police (just to be clear).

Well just one other thing:

Be very careful about approaching one of other firms on the Internet who apparently specialize in recovering client funds from places like this. Apparently some of them (most of them???) are scam artists as well. There’s thread or a post about this somewhere around here.

Interpol is probably the best suggestion thus far on this thread given the lack on regulation.

Then again: sometimes a threat will do the trick i.e. a threat by way of a lawyer’s letter. Matter of fact I’d go so far as to say that you’d have to institute at least some form of legal proceedings against them even if it be a lawyer’s letter to being with as you’re going to need some written proof to show the authorities that you have attempted to obtain a refund and that they have refused.

I saw a post suggesting as much.

Folks have to beware of the “scam circle” trap that is fueled by one’s own greed:

The courses promising instant wealth/no lose systems
Then come’s the unregulated brokers
Followed by the emerging - “Asset retrieval” specialists for a fee

Starts all over again with the course that targeted at folks who have gone through the whole process once already.

As @eddieb inferred, You HAVE to do the due diligence.

Thank you all. Lets see what threats and interPol can do.

Have you read reviews about that guys before even thinking to place something like 10 thousands pounds here anyway. Take some read here for example FX Market Leaders | FXMarketLeaders.com reviews and ratings by Forex Peace Army and here https://www.forexbrokerz.com/brokers/fxleader-review

Hey AlexH1

What made you pick them in the first place? I’d be interested to hear.

They sounded convincing and I dint realize such scams are out there. I was naive and feel stupid.
interpol can not be reached. You cant report a crime to them.
Has anyone heard of Broker Complaint Registry? I have spoken to them and they have told me to try with my bank. They seemed convinced the bank can assist me even though I made the deposits. I hope they are correct.

Please do your due diligence before paying some company to retrieve the money that’s already been lost.

What do you mean by saying that they “say to put more”? Do they explicitly incline you to add more money in the account? Then it’s clearly a red flag. I would start to initiate legal case against them and write complaints to respective regulators, if they are subject to any?

If you’re in the UK, maybe give this a try. Not sure what they can do if the company is overseas…

Is the company based in the UK?

Traders get scammed every now and then, especially new traders who put greed ahead of due diligence. It’s important to get as much information as possible before falling into such traps. Forex Peace Army has a very good review section for brokers that you can use to ensure you only sign up with legitimate brokers

Though I have not learnt the name of this broker, from your writing somehow it is revealing that the broker can be a scam. Yes, even one of member has the proof that this broker has poor authorization. Thereby next time, try to be sure that you can work with an experienced and credible broker which will definitely help you to secure your capital.

Oh sorry to hear; what’s the update buddy?

Sir you have been scammed. 10k GBP is not small money in any part of the world.

I was in a similar situation to yours in my early days but it was $10 using e-gold platform. Needless to say I let it go.

It’s really huge amount! Don’t know why he deposited this big amount in this type of market maker!
