Stories like that pop up every few months somewhere. Its always some kid of 20 who saved 1000 and made it into a quarter of a million and now has a beautiful sports car and has dropped out of college.

Often they’re looking for investors to pile money into their account.

By the time they’re 21 they’re broke and sometimes on the run. What they’re not usually doing is still trading.

From the UK alone, Google these lads -
Dan Legg - now a property speculator
Edward Ricketts - now selling forex tips
Robert Mfune - now an “entrepreneur” involved in training and coaching
Luke Blackburn - has been put on a scam warning list by the FCA
Sam Cook - admitted fraud and was sentenced to 2 years’ jail

I guess its a good story for the media when these guys get written up as the latest hot shots, then another good story when they get banged up.

if all the above are Scammer and cranks ect think not just the people they scammed directly, but all the people who have read the newspapers which has given them false hope and lead to disaster .the guy so called rags to riches story has been in all the tabloids apparently too.
