I dont trade patterns like this but it kind of jumped out at me when I opened this chart. Whats your opinion of what is forming here?
Well, (apart from the fact that you’re one of very few chart-posters here whose “lines on charts” really make a lot of sense to me, and leave me with the feeling that I would have drawn them in the same places), it could easily be that the left shoulder is about to form? We’re past the supraclavicular fossa, anyway.
Also a slow-moving 1-2-3 formation at the top, and a Ross hook or two on the way down?
Also, with an eye on the very left of the chart, it could just about be the head and shoulders of “one standing next to a taller person”, and those are said to be slightly higher probability, anyway?
Not something I routinely trade, but I see that it will be interesting if the left shoulder forms, there.
(Some people would call that the “right” shoulder, I know, but I look at it the other way round, as you do with X-rays and medical imaging: if the person’s facing us, that’s his left shoulder, to me :8: ).
Hmmm didn’t know that, higher probability when next to a taller person (or a big trend). Yes I agree it will zigzag down from current superclabadooda(that part you said )
And I also see it as a person facing me…didn’t know people see it the other way. That’s just weird.
Head and shoulders are reversal patterns, counter-trend: there is nothing to reverse here, as far as I can see, as Cable is at historic lows…
I know! To me, also … but in many books what they call “right shoulder” (i.e. “most recently-formed shoulder”) actually refers to what you and I think of as a person’s “left shoulder”. It seems obvious (to us, anyway) that when you look at picture (or an X-ray) the left side of the person is shown on your right, and vice-versa, so it took me a while to work this one out!
classical example of overthinking
