Hello everyone!

Hello,

I am Paula, a brand new trader. I thought of starting with Forex trading in order to gain some extra cash every month.
I am still on my demo account of MT4 platform while learning Forex trading with youtube videos.
I am quite interested to know how is the life of a typical day trader? Do they have their eyes glued to the screen until the Trade is closed?

Also how trustworthy are the traders who share their strategies on Youtube videos?

Let me know your thoughts! looking forward to loads of interesting discussions x

Hi Paula,

I’ve been a full time day trader for a few years now. This is just my experience and theres no right or wrong, its whatever’s right for you. I spend all day looking at the screen because I trade a mechanical system. Once I open a trade I have my take profit and stoploss in place so no need to micro manage my trade. I have a % aim and if I hit it I stop for the week.

On the youtube traders, I’d say they are trustworthy because theyve told you their strategy for free so you can try it out and test it yourself without spending a penny. Whether or not the strategy is successful is upto you to do the back testing and hard work. I would not trust them blindly.
