Hello I'm a Confused NOOB

I’m here to gain a better understanding of how FOREX works and how to navigate it. I tried learning on my own but I felt there was no structure, which led me down a path of further confusion. I’m ready to learn all that I can and become financially free once I have the proper skills under my belt.

Hi tucia , welcome here

you certainly would learn a lot by clicking on the green button “education” ,but i advice you to draw hundreds of chart and saved them at the side of your learning (practice is important)

then you’ll feel ok to continue: the next step is going into demo account and having 6 profitable month consecutively (ideally you’ll need a very good performance , enough to live with your perf)
maybe you’ll can fin a good mentor that will help, i hope for you

and after the 6 months in demo, you’ll finally can go to real

wish you the best, merry christmas

First learn the basic. Go to the education section. It will help you. After that try demo trading

If you are new in the forex market you can visit the educational section of babypips to learn many new things about trading.

Hello Tunica,

Welcome!

I am in the same boat, I joined yesterday and I am completely clueless. If it helps I am currently just going through the lessons. XD

Your conclusion is correct - without a learning plan, there is no structure to learning. In fact, learning becomes infinite - if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you could spend the rest of your life looking for it, you will not know if you have found it.

The end objective of your learning is to find a trading strategy and be able to make it work. Why not get a simple objective strategy and a demo account and then learn about the strategy - as soon as you start to use it you will be faced with specific limited questions which you need to answer in order to make the strategy work - its a lot easier to do this than to try to learn everything there is to know about the foreign exchange system.

This will not be the only time in your trading career when you find that what you learned in earlier ordinary life does not help.

It is okay to face confusion in the beginning of your trading career. We all have been there. The more your practice, fewer will the confusions be. What I suggest is practising on your demo account so that you can practically understand what is happening.

Look on YouTube, this is the best place to start learning. Also make sure that you open a demo account and trade it until you feel confident.

From my experience, I can say that confused traders become great traders. When you focus on learning new things, getting confused is common. And the traders who don’t explore the market and stick to the first thing that helped them make profits, do not survive for long in the market.
