Why forex? Because being a freelancer massage therapist kinda is a ticket to being poor right now and I have bills to pay and a child to support 
so if I can make enough money to make ends meet this would be great!

Hi Rita. Things are tough at the moment. Sorry that you (and many others) are going through these difficult times. I’m hopeful that things will improve in the very near future.
Forex trading is not a quick fix. It will take a considerable amount of time to see profits, if at all. Not to scare you away, but most people lose at this game.
However, if you’re determined to do this, here’s a plan you can follow:
- Start with the School of Pipsology ( Learn Forex Trading at School of Pipsology - BabyPips.com )
- Open a demo account with a broker (I suggest Oanda)
- Browse YouTube to learn how to use your trading software (MT4 is most commonly used and it is free)
- Practice on your demo account as you learn
- Ask questions in the forum at any time to clear away any confusion
- Pick one or more strategies and trade in your demo account until you are consistently profitable for at least 3 - 6 months
- Fund your real account with a small sum and begin trading

As a beginner, you must read a few books that can help you clear your basic concepts. And then, create a demo account to practice what you have learned.
