Hello

Sorry for not posting this when I first joined but I wanted to avoid getting spammed by a former member here who was chasing after newcomers.
Ive dipped in and out of forex over time, hope to spend more time now but my work life dictates and its not conventional 9 to 5.
Im a professional martial arts instructor with a network of schools. I act part-time and do some stunt work as and when the opportunities arise.
Like sports, the odd beer, and chilling.

Hello Pointless, you are as your username implies. What else is on your mind?

What’s that supposed to mean?

Yes, I wondered the same thing! It didn’t sound much of a polite response from Laodamns to me either! Hopefully just some kind of mistranslation or misunderstanding

But anyway, Pointless, please feel welcome here.

What kind of forex have you done and what are you looking to do now? e.g. timeframes, technical, pairs etc.

I hear you.

Not for the first, or last, time - unfortunately.

The moderators will and do remove them, if their spam is reported. Understandably, though, many new members either don’t like to, or don’t quite know how to … or the approach is subtle enough for the solicitation, when it comes, to seem “not quite reportable”; but the moderators can’t be expected to do anything about this, if it isn’t reported. The 50-post requirement for private messaging does have a good effect, in this regard, though (albeit that it creates one or two other anomalies in the process).

Anyway, welcome to the forum (belatedely!).

Thanks Manxx and Lexys.
Im related to another member here, although I don’t know his username. When I’ve had steady periods in my work, I’ve spent some time watching him trade. Opened demo accounts and tried trading, then work gets in the way - an instructor leaves or is injured so I have to cover until I find a replacement, or I get a few weeks acting or stunt work. All very nice but it sends my forex learning/trading back to square 1.
So, I’ve not settled on any trading style yet, very much an open book, although I have concluded that scalping is not for me.

Very wise.

And if even a stunt-man won’t try it, who should? (The dangers are more financial than physical, though. )

At first, like several of you, I thought that laodamns had posted a snarky reply.

But, on second thought, I’m guessing that he meant to say that “you are as your avatar implies”.

Explosions don’t hurt Chuck Norris — they just get stuff out of his way!

.

Always good to look for the positive side

You may well be right there Clint and, if that is the case, I apologise to Laodamns for my brusque response.

Hmmm, bit of a pointless exercise continuing this, but it seems Laodamns was only here for 1 day over a month ago and posted all his few posts on that same day, 24.6., including the above. His main objective was to vent his frustrations with his broker who closed out his positions during the Brexit moves after changing their margin requirements. So why he replied to this thread then as he did, I guess we will never know…but if it was a negative comment then one can assume it was purely a result of his own frustrations at that time!

Just taking part of the School quiz, when I found this question!

11.
Which of the following is a good way to protect yourself against sneaky brokers?

Compare price feeds of brokers

Trade only when liquidity is high to ensure tight pip spreads

Ask Chuck Norris to watch over your trades

Just had to smile
