Really need a 1 on 1 mentor at this point. Im so tired of losing in Fx. Willing to share my winnings or pay someone at this point. I need a good strategy that is easy and actually works. And a mentor that will help me and answer questions.
How long have you been at it? Live or demo? What were you trading, when, all that good stuff.
1 year. Traded live and demo. Traded all time frames. Would like to swing trade. Ive traded most of the usual indicators. Traded all the major pairs and some exotics. Ive never made any money. Lost a fair bit at this point.
Did you journal your trades? Any insight into why you lost more than you won?
Honestly I dont feel like I know what I am doing. I need 2 things to be successful. I need a good strategy that works and is easy. And a good mentor that will respond and answer questions.
can you please ensure what psychology difference you got when trading in live and demo . ?
the main different between demo and live just emotions, nothing without it.
good question, what helped me was keeping a journal, even now I still do. I write down every trade I take, the reason for entering, whether I won/lost, why I lost, etccc.
I think this is the journey to trading. Trading, I feel, is not something that’s as easy as, “Hey, here’s an easy system and it’s profitable and it always works.” I don’t think that exists. Anything a mentor might be able to help you with is give you a system to try to see if it works into your trading and life style. But even that will take time and there’s no guarantee that it will work for you, even if it’s worked for your mentor.
And it works the other way, maybe a mentor has systems he/she has tried and completely bombed, but if you tried one of them, it might work for you.
You won’t know unless you put the time into it. I’m saying all that basically to make a point that hoping for something “good” and “easy” is really a toss up.
yup! it definitely takes a lot of trial and error. Like you said, everyone’s trading style is different and what works for one person might not work for you. But you will never know unless you put in the time to test it out
Hi trolloc63
If you like to swing trading and you need a good course to teach you then I can highly recommend Al Brooks. Either read his books or take his online course. The course is great value however there are a lot of videos to watch and can be a little confusing. He runs a nightly webinar but that is an additional cost. As far as 1 on 1 he does not do that however if you don’t understand you can email Al and he can assist.
Check it out.

Have you done the al brooks course? Could you give us some broad strokes of his trading style? Thanks
Hi Rickster99
Yes I have and I can recommend it if you are into day trading.
His style is swing trading and scalping and the course is not that expensive. But be prepared to have to watch lots of videos as it is very comprehensive.
You can see some sample videos on line as he does seminar at various trading and investment seminars.

Thanks for the reminder about Al Brooks. Been meaning to look more at his style and this has jolted me to do it.
No Problem tommor however he is a little confusing at times because he abreviates everything like MTR for Major Trend Reversal and SES meaning Second Entry Short.
But once you get use to it it is OK

@trolloc63 I will help you at no charge. Time is at a premium for me so if you are really serious about wanting to learn to trade and you are willing to put in some hard work and study, then I will spare a little time for you to point you in the right direction. This is not an offer to coach or mentor you for any appreciable length of time. It is merely an offer to set you on the right path so that you can subsequently put in the work and further study required to develop into a profitable trader.
If the above resonates with you then IM me and we’ll setup a time to talk so that we may each evaluate whether or not we would like to proceed with this arrangement.
Thanks for the offer. I do have 1 year in the game, it is just not coming together. I have no problem with hard work. Ill take any help i can get.
Hi trolloc63
One year is not along time in your journey to being profitable. It takes a good eight years for a doctor to become skilled enough to perform delicate surgery and a professional athlete many years to reach an international level. So don’t expect miracles in a very short period of time in your trading career.
I would seriosly question the genuiness of any trader who claimed that they were profitable with a year or even two or three years of trading experience.
Trading is a serious business that requires you to be highly skilled and that skill will not and cannot happen overnight.
I understand your frustration as most successful traders have been there and done that. SO BE PATIENT STUDY AND PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.
If Quadpip is going to help then that will be good.
Best of luck.

Blackduck.
I responded to his PM asking for his time zone but never heard back from him.
Give him time he may still reply.
