Help Please

Hello People,

I am testing a signal provider that seems to have a good history of results.
He sends the signs for instance sell Euro 1,4056 with SL of 30 lets say.
When I am using my demo FXCM account it gives me Euro 1,40567 so my SL would be 300 pips instead of 30.

Is this because of the broker or because of the size of the account in this case a 50K demo account in FXCM.

Thanks for your help

Hello,
It is my understanding that FXCM shows every faction of the pip movement. So for example:

You are told to short EUR/USD at 1.4056
FXCM will show this as anywhere between 1,4056.0 - 1,4056.9

Your stop loss would not be 300 pips
It would be 30.0 pips (wow…that could save some money)

with the exception of JPY the currency values to concern youself with are the digits before the decimal and the 4 digits after the decimal.

JPY works different.
