Discovered this site and learning a lot, I"m grateful for it’s honesty and allowing me to start from total scratch. In my forex life, I’ve learned so far that 1. Forex trading is harder than it sounds. 2. No matter how many times I write a rule for me to follow, I still blow it on a ‘just this one trade…’ moment, and 3. There are a lot of ways to insert the word pip into other words… anyway. Maybe chat some time.
Your first and third observations above are beyond question.
People vary a lot about the second one (though many will doubtless identify with it), and vary a lot in the extent to which trading on a demo account can help them to improve it, too.
Hey Lexys, thanks for the welcome. You’ve intrigued me, I’d fixed on the demo account as ‘real’ and if I can’t make it work I’d quit rather than go to cash, but you seem to be saying, real money is so different, you behave different… that’s really interesting. Anyway, wish you luck in the charts today. Good trading
I would certainly have done the same. (I was on demo for a long time.) I think this is a good perspective.
I do also think some people behave differently with real money from how they do with a demo account, and (sometimes unexpectedly) find a real account much more stressful, and the judgments they make less clear, and find their instincts and behavior not quite the same!
