I’m Mike Carrigan, and I’m in Little Rock, Arkansas, but I’m originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Go Steelers (sigh). I worked for a Wall Street brokerage firm office here in The 80’s, and had quite a bit of success trading futures and options hedging Treasury portfolios for financial institutions. About a week ago I heard about binary options and found that the technical analysis was almost identical to what we were doing back in the day, and I’m fortunate to be able to study several hours a day at work and at home, and have feverishly been working to catch up on the last 30 years. I’ve been signing up for all the webinars, e-books and info I can find, which led me to Forex. I’m pretty confident about the markets and how they work, I have demo accounts set up, and I’m focusing on technical analysis, looking for methods and rules to find high-probability trades, as I made all the mistakes 30 years ago, and I don’t want to make or pay for them again. I have to start with a small account, I’ve always held that your trading should prove itself, and as my account grows, and I add to it, my plan is to retire and trade full-time. Having success in the 80’s, my eventual bar is set pretty high. Being of 2nd-generation Irish descent, it’s very hard to trade without emotion, so I’m searching out indicators that would help me do that. I seem to have a real knack for technical trading, and I’m confident I’ll eventually be successful. I hope it’s ok to as this, but if anyone (or everyone) could drop me a note and tell me what is working for them, I will be eternally grateful. As soon as I have a quiver full of reliable tools, I’m ready to start demo trading today, and when the technicals prove to me they work, I’ll fund an account immediately. One more request if I may, what charting software does everybody like? I have several, but these questions will hopefully shorten my learning curve and get me started faster.
I cannot express how excited I am (there’s that Irish again) to have found this. I had no idea it existed! So far fit’s been like putting on an old set of clothes, but I know I have much to learn. Let me thank you in advance for any ideas or help you can give me. It will be deeply appreciated.
Best of luck, and successful trading!
Mike
