Hi from sunny UK

Hi everyone

Hope you are all well.

I’ve been trading stocks for a few years and looking to get into forex.

Enjoying the forum and reading all about your experiences.

I’m looking to develop a simple strategy that uses the D1 charts for minimum stress.

All the best

Sally

Exactly what I would recommend for a new trader.

As you’re in the UK, don’t ignore the possibilities of trading via a spreadbetting firm. As long as they’re FCA-regulated choosing SB won’t cause you any issues.

Thanks tommor, I’m looking into IG at the moment, they seem to have a solid reputation.

Hello Sally! Welcome to bp. What made you decide to try out forex? Hope you could share your strategy with us when finish developing it.

Hello Sally! Welcome to the forums!

I like that forex is symmetrical, i.e. shorting and going long are equally valid. Also, no overnight gaps (I plan to trade the D1 timeframe). Hope that makes sense!
