I am currently a junior in high school and have recently become intrested in the forex market along with the commodities market. I currently perfer the forex market due to its short term trades and its endless possibilities for profit. But while this site has become a great starting ground for my forex education I was looking for somthing a little more formal and was wondering if anyone on the site knows of any structured learning enviroments that i could paricipate in.
i wish i had discovered forex and babypips while i was in high school…
As far as formal education is considered for forex there really isnt any that I heard of, only one though and its in australia…Most traders I know usually have license to sell stocks and securities and usually venture into forex as a hedge investment. Although there are many online companies that offer full education and hands on mentoring (market traders institute) buy they charge like 6k!!! really the only thing to do that I know of is immerse yourself in babypips and do the school, then pick up as many books as you can and intern at some brokerage firms whom trade the forex and start from there…thats what I did!!! college classes usually have economics classes, statistics and other accredited courses you can take and usually it all comes down to the series 7 or other series licenses. It all depends on what appoach you want to take…I would suggest internship first it gets your feet wet without having to committ to any college or classes…and you learn from the pros!!!
hope this helps as I still wonder if there are any forex accredited college courses that just focus on the forex…not in miami at least!
