Is there anyway to get an email alert when a new blog article is posted on the home page?

yes there is… just subscribe to the blog, there is a window on the upper right side of the blog screen… enter your email and then you are going to have to verify it…Subscribe to the blogs by the authors that you only WANT to receive one by one ie art of the chart, pick of the day or… if you have yahoo you can also select to notify you when the email gets to your mailbox via text message.
