How can I calculate how much is trade down or up in %?

Hi,

If I have trade NZDCAD and I place buy trade 0.90772, and currently is 0.89474, and my Leverage is 1:500. How much I lost in % ?

The percentage movement between the entry price and the current price is not the most important factor. What is most important is the gain/loss on your open position as a percentage of your account capital. when traders say for example you should only take a 1% risk or a 1% loss, what they mean is 1% of the capital, not 1% of the price.

100 - ( (0.89474 / 0.90772) X 100)
Take the smaller of the two prices and divide it by the larger one. Then multiply that result by 100 and then subtract that number from 100. In your case it is about 1.42%.
This works for gains and losses in both long and short positions. You just have to know if you made a profit or a loss to decide if the percentage is for losing or gaining.
