How do I make an EA trade?

So I made an EA, used strategy tester and backtested it for the last 6 months or so and it worked (i.e. traded) like a charm. The problem came when I tryed to attach it to a chart in order to let it trade. Even tho I enabled “Allow live trading”, it dosn’t trade… it just sits there with a big X next to it’s name (not a smiley face as it should have when in works, as far as I know). So, any idea what it might be? Or will I have to upload the EA so you can have a look at it and tell (would rather not do that atm, not until I’ve worked out the kinks).

Hi Bloodsnout,
Check the “Expert Advisor” button on your standard toolbar…if it has a little red dot with a white center under the blue hat? (sorta looks like a hat) that means it’s off. Just click it to turn it on and the red dot will turn green.Then the X on your chart should turn into a happy smilie face :slight_smile:
