I am relativly new to trading, i undertstand the bits about position sizing and what pip calculating. However when ever i wish to put in a smaller order than 1 percentage in metatrader it does not not work. For example if i have a $25.000 dollar account, if i would put in an order for a trade of 1 % that would be $250 dollars per trade which make it in lots/volume 0.01. How ever i want to to put in an order even less than that and i was thinking $150 dollars instead, now my question is how would you calculate that?
And also does the broker have any limits to how much you can bet when it is less then 1 % of your account?
Its percentage your capital if u r loss,
Lets say
U have 25000$ , and u r only willing to risk 1% per trade
U set ur SL 20 pip
So ur lot for this trade is 1.25 standard lot,
so if ur SL activated u r losing 250$
i find it hard to understand the reply but i think you miss understodd the question mr artwadi, my question is what if i want to put less than 250 dollars and instead make an order of 150 dollars which is less then 1 % of my account, how would you calculate that?
