There are various ways to get charts onto your computer, but
the method I use is “print screen” & “paint”
When they are on your computer if you then open up a post box on
this forum then find the drop down between the smillie face & undo button.
It is shaped like a paperclip, upload the chart copy to the website.
This will then be viewed at the bottom of the post.
See below.
that didn’t work
To Daydreamer65 :
I too, would like more information on this method as I am not a computer whiz.
What do you mean “open a post box on this forum” ?
I think I may need a more detailed answer to this one. Once I know how to do this it will be no problem.
I am not all that satisfied with Image Shack as I experience download problems.
Which bit didn’t work?
Screen print
Paint
Save to my documents (on my computer)
Open reply thread (where I am now)
Find paperclip icon (see thumbnail)
Browse your computer files
Upload picture.
Submit post.
Sometimes the size of the file on “paint” can be too big, so
I make it smaller with
PIX resizer It’s free!
Aaaaaaaaaaah !!
Therein lies the answer I think…PIX RESIZER !!!
Thanks Daydreamer65.
Pix resizer effort
Aaaaaaaaaaah …finally got this thing to work - a big move for a dumbo like me! I am very excited indeed.
print screen or paint didn’t work for me.
To Masterplan :
Firstly, take whatever chart etc is on your screen…
Go…"Print screen"
Go to paint…you must first use the double headed arrow to open the paint screen - it goes white. If you do not do this then your picture will not appear.
then… “edit”…“paste”
If you are unsure about this then ask someone you know. It is much easier for someone to show you this than try to explain it here.
Then… file…save as…into My Pictures.
Then download Pix Resizer from Daydreamer65’s hyperlink and spend time becoming aquainted with it.
Follow the steps in Pix resizer…use the “work with one file” and “apply recommended”. Read the help section.
Place new picture in folder of your choice.
Once you get that far, you then go to this forum and click “Reply”…click “manage attachments” (below Submit Reply).
Enlarge the window (essential) then click “Browse”…"upload."
Close window when finished
Click “submit reply”
Daydreamer65 has shown this to you in pictorial form in his thumbnail attachment.
If you still have problems, print this material and get someone who is computer savvy to give you a hand.
it works
Good on you, MasterPlan
Now don’t forget how to do it !!
