How to calculate the wasted amount?

Hi,

[U]First off all, sorry for my english. It’s not by default language…[/U]

My question:

Let’s suppose I open an account with $5,000 with 1:100 Leverage.

Then I sell 1 lot USD/CAD at 1.1296

How to do the math do know wich amount I will waste to sell this 1 lot? ( 5000 - ?? = ?? )

At 100:1 leverage, 1 lot will commit 1,000 of your dollars. You’ll have $4,000 left with which to trade.

I don’t know what you’re referring to by ‘waste’… are you asking how much you’re going to spend in the transaction? Or how much it will cost you in spreads?
