How to read quotations for currency swaps!

Hello guys,

I recently got a dealer internship at a bank and was wondering if any of you could help me understand a few things that seem confusing to me.
I never had experience in the front office yet, so stuff like quotation still seems confusing.

I currently overshadow one of the supervisors for interbank deals. So basically for swaps let’s say:

EUR/USD swap, I S/B USD against EUR, he is being quoted with the LHS(left hand side) by the broker

AUD/USD swap, I S/B AUD against USD, he is being quoted with RHS (right hand side) by the broker

What to pay attention here to help me understand ? Is it the same way for all the other Major/minor currency pairs ?

Would someone be so kind and explain to me why is he is being quoted with different sides?

Also how can I improve my understanding of these in the future? I understand the difference between market maker and market user but when it comes to those swap deals I can’t seem to get the hang of it.

Where can i read up more about those BID/ASK subject?

Thanks for the help guys.
