Hi my name is Estelle, I’m 25 and at a point in my life where I do not know what I want and not sure what I’m passionate about anymore - can anyone relate?
Well I thought it would be a good idea to reaaaallly explore the things i’m interested in and see where they take me which brings me here, I’m a complete and utter newbie to trading but so excited to begin this journey of learning and the people I connect with along the way!
Will I be a profitable trader and be able to use this as an income? I bloody well hope so! But is that my motivation? Absolutely not! I am just excited to be able to say “I said I was going to commit my self to learn how to trade and I did it!!!”
GOAL: To be confident and skilled enough to trade using my own capital by 8th February 2022.
The journey begins today!
I would greatly appreciate any tips and on getting started etc. and how to study independently. Likewise, if I can be of any help or support to any other newbies, I’m here.
Welcome echx. Good mindset, which is encouraging. Take it easy, one step at a time and learn how to trade forex properly. It’s damn hard work and will take you months to feel confident enough NOT TO LOSE money. Experiment on a demo account for at least 6 months minimum as though it was a live account. Request no more than a 100:1 leverage and $1,000 capital. Be firm on this.
What is critical is being able to control emotion on trade outcome, to be disciplined at all times to control risk and money management, and never overtrade.
The path to being successful is slow and steady, not fast and furious - quite boring actually, but the end rewards can be worth the hours of labour. I’,m enjoying my journey because I learn something new and better most days.
Ignore all of the Youtube vlogs that preach instant monetary success, only 10% of newbies get lucky until they blow it all. Instead watch the ones that provide ‘free’ advice. Trader Nick is honest and realistic, so is Etienne, who has very interesting vids. You will learn a lot.
