Ignore List

Lately there have been a few on here who insist on insulting others rather than offering useful advice or explaining how a concept is wrong and giving proof to show otherwise.

Well, there is a useful tool in the forums called the ignore list. Simple go to the profile of the person you wish to ignore, click the ‘User List’ link right under their name, and add them to your ignore list.

Presto! Now you will not see the posts of those on the forums whose intent is to belittle everyone else so they themselves can feel big.

This may not be the correct place for this thread, not sure where else I should put it.

Wow, That’s a great idea. Thanks.

Yippee!!

I am not the only one who has noticed the abuse problem.

Thanks for that Jimmy Jones!!

I see I should ignore some people who dont know what theyre talking about

Can you ignore yourself?

Ha ha ha! :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice sense of humor there Cadarkitek

I’m guessing pablo told me he was going to ignore me? I don’t know, I can’t see it!

Learning and building confidence is enough of an uphill battle without people tearing you down. It’s important to do all you can to avoid the negative voices out there. Again I recommend ‘The Magic of Thinking Big’ to anyone out who is interested in self development also.

Would be nice if he would ignore everybody.

Ignoring is for the weak…

oooo…BURN!

Actually that’s a rather “weak” statement…

I do hope i’ll never use that feature.

Different point of view often need strong discussion.

How is it said ? “Love often start with hate”.

Instead of ignoring, I strongly recommend mods to remove the “bad guy” who is out of subject or is insulting people.

Greetings everyone,

I’m all about giving everybody the opportunity to say their minds in this forums, but it seems we’ve had a few “disruptive” characters creating “mayhem” across the forums.

We like to think all of our community members as mature, professionals and that we can all openly and constructively discuss this very difficult business of Forex trading. Apparently, there are those who can only speak “negatively” and it looks like the FX-Men have to step in. I’ve spoken with a few of them about their behavior and hopefully these issues between members will be resolved.

So, from this point on, if we get multiple complaints about a user’s posts or behavior, we will review and most likely ban the user (just because of time wasted…jk… well, not really :). Any questions? You know how to reach us… good luck and good trading!

Nicely put sweetpip:D

Say what you will, but I have worked with enough people like you to know there is very little I could do or say to change your attitude or opinion.

I’m here to learn how to make more money than I do now with real estate or programming, period. I could care less about rank, number of posts I achieve, what people like you think about me.

Once I figure out how to succeed in forex and I am making money doing it, chances are very good I will stop frequenting the forums until I have got to the point where I feel I can give back in a real and positive way.

Those on here who find pleasure in insulting people on a continual basis, well that tells me one thing, obviously you are not achieving whatever it is you set out to achieve, and for whatever reason you decide to come in and tear others down, as opposed to taking a step back, looking at why you are failing, and taking the necessary steps to get back on the path to success.

You can claim your success on the forums in words all you want, but the true measure of how successful you are is how you feel about yourself. If your not accomplishing your goals and not taking the proper steps to figure out why, then you probably feel lousy. And when people feel lousy about themselves they try and get those around them to feel lousy too.

And I have no time for that. So yes, I will use the ignore list where I deem it necessary to my success. And I could care less if you or anyone else approves.

I like your attitude JJ (and I realise you dont care whether I like it or not!). You are obviously a successful individual and I hope you will be at this game also. New traders might well take note of your sentiments and adopt them for themselves

Thanks tonymand.

I certainly don’t want to come across as better than anyone else, or put anyone else down for that matter.

Enough is enough however. This is a forum about learning how to be successful in forex. Those who are trying to stroke their ego’s here should realize we see through it, figure out why they have such a bad attitude, and go about correcting it so they can be successful also.

Money won’t make you happy if you haven’t worked on your personal growth as you are working towards a better financial future.
