In trailing stop, Why does price go against you only?

After reading the “trailing stop” section, I have realized that trailing stop happens both ways, In favour of you & against you. But at last, it was written that trade" Trade won’t close as longs as price move against you by 20 pips? Why against you only, not in favor of you? I hope you understand my question. By the way, I am not native speaker

If you can ride in the high trendy momentum situation, then it may works for you. By the way, I prefer SL instead of this tool.

Really agree with you! Even I always use stop loss; it’s more flexible than the trailing stop.
