Instagram Traders

I agree! It’s just marketing and scam. They’re targeting newbies or those who wants easy money.

This one’s a good read:

The mystery is how such complex products became an internet youth craze. And this is where the wolves of Instagram swagger in. Oyefeso described himself as a social media “influencer”, which means he and others like him can use Instagram and Twitter to sell the trading platforms a supply of teenagers and young adults with limited knowledge of the money markets and a hunger for success.

I was sceptical about paying this guy the money to do this, but I’m really glad I joined this forum, and people reaffirmed my suspicions.

i feel sorry for the hundreds if not thousands of people who but into this… i notice a new one pop up everyday pretty much on Instagram.

Do you have the handles of these instagram traders? Would like to check them out also!

@cuebanks is an awesome trader. He started forex trading in 2015. He was doing some stock trading prior to getting into forex, so he picked up his strategy quick! He started teaching classes in Miami and is only 28 years old. Im inspired by his posts/vids everyday

@john_mcfadden_ceo is another fav of mine, although he doesn’t post his trades as often as I would like him too, the vids he has on his page now are extremely helpful. He’s a full-time froex/binary trader

@justshell have you had any of @cubanks training? I had a look at his site and his stuff looked a lot more genuine compared to the usual instagram traders.

No I haven’t paid for any training, but I’m sure it’s legit. People seem to be getting value from his training, so it might be helpful to you

Following both! I only have Tim Sykes right now aaand he’s getting pretty ridic haha.

Samuel leach is another Instagram trader. Selling training package and handing out investment pots to traders. Mainly sells algos. Have heard lots of bad reviews about him and is a thread on him on here too.

Do you follow him on Instagram also?

Nope. Read the reviews and left him to it.

how do feel about mcfadden’s videos on IG? I find them very helpful, and he explains it very well

Who is that and what videos?

He’s a guy I follow on IG, he posts really helpful videos breaking down his analysis on the charts. But, I think i had referred @purtle to check him out.

That’s the reality; the shows unrealistic result & make crazy the newbie’s! But, the reality is different, Forex is not an easy way of money making.

Courses are a complete ripoff, they are unaccountable for their services. Mentors are garbage too.

See those fancy homes? It is an AirBnB.

Those cars? One day lease.

The watches? Those can be rented too.

Who pays for their marketing? Suckers who are greedy and those who are desperate.

The key thing is if you are going to engage in Managed FX trading (Copy trading and PAMMs/MAMs/LAMMs), you must make sure that the performance metrics and data are independently verified by a 3rd party. Otherwise, you are opening yourself up to problems.

Say no to text or message app alerts, Insta scammers, and course providers.

Yes, they are the target audience who wants to make instant success! So, new traders should careful on this kind of so called service.

There’s a trading program called AstroFX I found out about on IG, but I actually heard awesome things about them. I’m not sure if anyone on here has went through their trading course though. But, you’re absolutely right. A lot of these so-called traders don’t even post any of their trades, only a lavish lifestyle. BE CAREFUL

Hey justshell,

They actually do, but they falsify the results! They’ll take a “screenshot” of their MT4 app and photoshop it… it’s easy to fake though. The only way to know for sure is through a 3rd party marketplace that provides the performance details.

Also, with those trading programs/manual signals… you’re on the hook no matter what since you are responsible for executing the trades. They can easily shift blame onto you. Some of them use the “sportsbook tout” method as well.

Our industry has been defined by the worst elements unfortunately, but the “old saws” involved with trading also do not help.
