I really like this site, but is there somewhere some good instructional videos? I have seen a few on YouTube but damn usually these traders just gets a well cluttered trading interface in front of them and then I just get too confused. I think the ideal way to learn for a starter like me is to read about strategy’s and then see some videos when someone is trading BUT explaining in a ABC understandable fashion. I have not seen such instructional video yet!
I seem to recall that one of the blogs here, Queen Cleopiptra has some videos.
Other than that there are a few commercial sites that actually have pretty good videos but I don’t feel comfortable pointing you to any such place, it’s sort of not in the spirit of this forum. Also, you can learn just fine without them.
Personally I think that demo trading will give you much more than watching videos of other know-it-alls trading. Guess what - you’re not gonna find videos of them screwing up…
I started working on some videos a while back. I was planning to put them up on Youtube but gave it up. It was way more work than I though it would be.
I agree that you can learn fine without videos, but if you really want a commercial video I suggest Fetor’s video course from forex4noobs.com. I haven’t watched it, but Fetor is a good guy and he really knows his stuff, and the reviews of it are spectacular. It’s also reasonable priced at around $100, instead of the ripoff prices that other people charge.
NickB’s from the same site is also good, but his approach doesn’t work so well in the current market conditions, so I’d skip it for now.
Also, like MayGyver said, you don’t need video courses, there are plenty of free resources here on Babypips that will teach you everything you need to know. But if you have money to burn and you really want one, then forex4noobs is the place.
maybe i’m in that new generation that thrives on youtube, but it seems like beginners could really use someone to post some great informational (and entertaining) videos explaining forex trading, strategies, etc.
after reading pages and pages of text people have written, it’d sure be a nice break…
