Hi everyone, my name is Tim S. I’m from AZ in the US and I’m fairly new to Forex trading. I have a fulltime job, a wife and daughter, and I’m finally starting my journey to become financially free. My goal is to make enough money to support my family, and enough to give back to people who need it. I’m hopeful that with patience, perseverance, and support from communities of people on their own journeys to financial freedom, I’ll achieve my goal and go even further!
Welcome to babypips! I recommend sticking with the full time job until you get the hang of trading and become consistently profitable using a live account. It’ll be a long road of learning and likely losing trades but if you’re determined, you’ll get there eventually! Just don’t expect trading to be a get rich quick scheme
I’ve fortunately been told about the pitfalls new FX traders fall into thinking it’s a get rich quick scheme. I’m financially secure enough with my wife to manage comfortably, but I’ve been working a soul-sucking job for almost 6 years and I’m no closer to achieving my financial goals. My hope is 1-2 years of constant studying and testing will at least get me in the right direction. I love to learn and I’m a patient man, apparently FX could be a good place for me.
Thank you for the welcome and much appreciated advice!
Welcome to the forum, learn forex and enjoy earnig.
Focus on process, manage emotional control, and you’ll be half way there.
Oh gosh I’m so sorry. But I’m also glad you’re finally doing something about it! I wish you lots of luck and perseverance!
