Introduction - Moses

Hey, my name is Moses. I am 20 years old and currently restarting college. I ended up dropping out of poli sci and changed into business and decided to take trading and learning the markets more seriously. Currently, I consider myself a complete beginner as I have not developed my chartist’s eye. Its still completely random to me, and I have blown probably 2-3 200$ accounts. It’s not too bad, but once I graduate, I believe I can turn this losing game into at least a profitable one.

A couple of my GOALS:

Finish BabyPips
Develop my Own Strategy
Be able to win 250-500 pips consistently every week after graduating.
Meet and connect with like-minded traders who are willing to work together to achieve the same things.

Please feel free to discuss with me any topic, I hope we can all achieve our dreams one day!

Hey there Moses! I too just joined this forum and hope to learn more about the FOREX market. My goal is to be profitable by the end of this year! I haven’t started a live account yet (unlike you I don’t have the confidence  ), my goal is to start one by August this year. Good luck in college and see you around!

Hey Isaac, we can definitely do this man. Just as long as we continue to absorb information, but most importantly apply it. It’s okay to be paper trading, I did that as well, but I came to the conclusion myself that it’s nothing like real trading. I do however only put money I can afford to lose like 1/4 of my paycheck every two weeks. This is our year brother! Hope to see you around as well! Thanks!

Congratulations, good luck to you.

Good post, but this is fantasy thinking. For starters Forex trading outcomes are mostly sequences of winners and losers - it’s not an income provider like a job. One week you’ll win and the next you’ll lose and so on. How many pips winning or losing is irrelevant and out of context to your capital. % of capital gains is more accurate. If you make 0.5% per week on average you’re doing amazingly great. Seems easy, but it isn’t.

i have a pro trader friend who was over the moon that January trades netted him 2% increase. An APR of 24% would have most pros ringing his doorbell - even the best index linked funds only average around 12% per annum.

Otherwise, it all looks good. Best of luck.

Thanks for this perspective brother! I will definitely take this into in mind with my trading journey. And for sure, nobody every beats the market. Cheers!

Good luck to all of us brother!
