Hi, Im pretty much a noob. Its also about a strategy. Ive been getting signals from a strategy [removed for Forums Policy violation] that is doing pretty badly (almost seems random), should I try and take the other side of each trade?

They want R500.00 a month so about $40.00, but I’m not paying yet. Just testing. I’m thinking if they are so rubbish, there might be an opportunity? Maybe its just bad timing so far. He says they do between 2 and 5 percent a month with a 25% drawdown. I can also use any broker I want.

YOU SHOULDN’T BE TRADING LIVE
You should go on a demo and take the other side of the trade (Because it seems that you think it may be the right move)
and see what happens
and learn from it
have you been to babypips education yet
if not
go there and learn
i would forget the signals if i were you
i would go to school
i would learn
and i’d come back in a year and see what i know
we cant’ really answer this question for you without knowing details
and… even if we do and even if you make money off it.
it doesn’t mean the next trade will make money
you need to learn to trade

now. it may or may not be intentional
and i don’t want to be the guy to put you off a good thing
bottom line is this
THERE IS ONE TRUTH…TEST EVERYTHING
if you have a theory…TEST IT
that’s what demo is for
if it works IT WORKS
it if doesn’t IT DOESN’T
simple as that, people can say what they want, but facts are facts

It’s just that from your first handful of posts, it wasn’t at all clear whether you were actually trying (in a strange way!) to promote a signal service, or were really yet another naive, overoptimistic, inexperienced beginner with totally unrealistic expectations. 
And people reacted accordingly.
This idea doesn’t and can’t work.
Actually for a lot of different reasons.
Two of which are compelling ones and far more significant than the others.
See if you can work them out (if you can’t, I’ll post again and explain them in detail tomorrow, when I have more time).

see, there are 2 types
there is the type that says, ok, i’ll do that, and THEY DO IT
and then they ask a lot more questions along the way… which is fine
then there is the type that IS LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER, a specific one
Now. if you don’t give it to them , they keep asking until they get it
so… here is the answer you are looking for
