FX is not an investment vehicle in the strict sense like stocks - more a speculative venture, albeit some traders keep positions open for weeks, maybe months.
Whatever, any investment carries a risk but that should not deter you, as money can be made - and lost - if you have learnt how to trade properly and proficiently.
best of luck.
Simply YES!
First your need to invest TIME to educate yourself about everything you can know about trading. check out the post I added to your introduction post, That should give you some sources on how and where to invest your TIme
Then you have to Invest your Effort It takes effort to learn from multiple sources, block unnecessary sound (Forex world is filled with that).
Then you have to invest “Emotions”, Forex is a game of emotion control. The better you control your emotions more successful you’ll be and it definitely takes time and practice.
Those are just some of the things you’ll have to “Invest” while you learn trading, while doing that save some capital, because you have to invest MONEY too.
There are ways to start without your own capital, but those are long and harder ways.
So yes, you have to invest money to trade forex. While you learn try saving up, since it nearly takes 6 months to 1 year to properly train. (please don’t trade in a demo account 1 month, then invest real money and lose it all, because everyone ever did that lost their money). Demo trade at least for 6 months. or more while you build your capital. keep learning for every and any source you can during this time.
we can’t answer you without a clarification on what you mean by invest . . you can certainly “invest” in a certain currency by holding it long term . . such as the ride down from the highs of the EUR/USD but most people out there are doing the gambling . .ahem i mean speculative style … which is honestly pretty much gambling , and people who tell you they can double their account every month, ask them why do they need to advertise themselves instead of retired at some holiday resort
