Please try what Jess suggested to lock the screen. The feature is built into the iPod/iTouch/iPad, not our app.

[li]You can bring up the screen orientation lock option by double-tapping the Home button,[/li][li]then swiping left to right until you see the audio playback controls[/li][li]and to the left of those is the screen lock toggle. Remember to go back in and disable it when you’re done.[/li][li]A lock icon indicating it’s active will appear in the upper right of the iPod screen.[/li][/ol]If you like pictures like I do, check out this link for a more detailed description about the screen orientation lock.
Strange, other apps that I use frequently do not do this. I can have it on portrait and it’ll stay that way until I tilt it a lot towards the landscape direction. The screen lock seems like a hassle, as I frequently switch from landscape to portrait in other apps, but they’re nowhere near as sensitive as the babypips forum app (well, I admit, I can think of one). I guess I’ll just have to hold my Touch steadier, which is pretty hard because I get jostled a lot when I’m using it.
Thanks for the app, though. It’s much better than going through mobile Safari.
I’ll have a chat with our developers to see if this is something they’re aware of. We’ve testing this in-house on several different iPads, iTouches and iPhones with no issue, but maybe it’s related to the iOS version. Would you happen to know what specific version you’re running?
Thanks for the feedback. We’ll see what we can do.
I just found the option to lock the forum in portrait mode in the settings. I’m glad that’s an in-app option. I should’ve checked more thoroughly through the app’s settings.
If you want to see an example of an app that’s not so tilt sensitive, check out the free Merriam Webster dictionary app. I can have that app open in landscape and tilt my touch a full 90 degrees and it’ll still stay in landscape. (rotate clockwise from a flat horizontal position) It’s made that way; I didn’t have to set any settings.
Anyway, thanks again for the app. My problem is solved with the lock option in settings.
