Is Forex For Geeks?

So what did you do with your Wednesday night?

Personally, I was working until 7pm, then it was home & dinner, then I watched The Apprentice. After that, I sat & watched the news about the Fed interest rate increase & the effects that it’ll have, all the while having a quick peruse of the charts.

Now reflecting on the above: thank God that I’m married as with a rock & roll lifestyle like that, a person would be destined to be a virgin for all of eternity.

Are we all geeks for delving in to this world? I’m an active, out-going lad’ish kind of guy, yet the other day when someone mentioned the digital currency “Bit Money”, I had to correct them & give them a general overview of what Bit-Coins were.

The rabbit hole is endless, the more I learn, the more it captivates me & the deeper I go. Do we all come out of the elaborate labyrinth with standard issue pocket protectors & our virginities restored?

It is a very niche area to focus on. It is a bit dull & no-one around you is going to understand it, they may feign interest but you’ll be isolated in your pursuit (other than back-up from your fellow nerds here at BabyPips). Is it for geeks? Does it turn you in to one?

Wednesday night musings concluded. Peace out compadres.

I do understand where you are coming from. Trading forex can be/is a very solitary profession and the people generally associated with forex aren’t usually on seen at red carpet galas, stalked by paparazzi or attending Victoria Secret fashion shows (or at least that we know of  ).

However, I for one don’t consider myself a geek or a nerd. Though I trade for a living, it is my profession of choice, and I enjoy it very much, it is not how I identify or describe myself. My main pursuit is travel and self exploration. But like you, I am very captivated by trading as it runs parallel to self-awareness and improvement.

Oh, and I don’t yet have a pocket protector and also very thankful that my virginity (continues) to not be in tact.

Cheers!

Just go sit in traffic with all the cool kids Steve (Jobs).

Here are some of those cool kids.

Can you pick out Steve Jobs ?

(oh, wait, Stevie-Boy has gone to that big corporate boardroom in the sky)

This is not how full-time forex traders get to work.

.

I also can’t talk, share ideas or discuss any thing related to forex with people around me. I mean on face book, by email, on skype and or forums there are a huge list of friends/people that I can talk too but in my real life, around me there isn’t anyone trading forex so that we can talk your forex language with each other.

I think the pocketprotectors are on sale now!! LOL no but Forex definitly isnt just for Nerds, I havent been a computer wizard at all. I am already pretty proud of myself for knowing how to turn on a computer haha. But the Forex is a great world, but its good to have a life outside of Forex, ive got my family. But if you feel down you shoulld definitly check a Fous lifesyle video it always gets me pumped up, and it reminds me again off why i started on this forex journey. Trying to live the good life.

Grttzzz

well, for me, being a trader isn’t geeky. it’s risky and requires aspiration. i’d say, it’s a cool lifestyle if you are an expert and you know what you’re doing. it gives you frreedom but requires a lot of knowledge.
