Kevin Davey, a trading competition winner, and a systems developer, has this to say about the head and shoulders pattern in his book, “Award Winning Algorithmic Trading Systems”.
“The problem is that the head and shoulders pattern gives a lot of false signals and usually looks good only in hindsight.”
He further goes on to say,
