Is technical analysis enough? Is it possible to trade relying on TA alone or should it always be TA and FA?
You will found out what works best for you with time. I know many traders who trade on price action alone and it works for them. Personally, I think a good mix of TA/PA and FA is best, perhaps leaning more towards TA/PA.
You?
I’d refrain from stating, that anything is essential.
There are perfectly fine FA only strategies such as long term position trading or even carry trade.
There are also perfectly fine TA only strategies and these are most popular, as TA is generally easier to understand.
You can also try to blend these ie. before significant news, market tends to move in range waiting for announcement. This way you can try to either catch range trades or straddle the upcoming volatility.
Key takeaway is that there are multiple good strategies out there, but not all may suit you. For example I am very bad at trading news, but I saw guys who do it exclusively with profits. I don’t know if this is a matter of psychology, training or maybe some fraction of talent for given type of trading.
I let the big banks do the FA for me. They have more information than I do and they are smarter than I am. When they’ve made their decision, they buy or sell. This shows up in the TA and I just do what they do.
the result of any kind of analysis its all about short time approach , there is nothing permanent in Fx trading.
We are all different. Personally I largely use price action for my trading but think it would be remiss of me to ignore prominent news events as they are often market drivers and force price quickly to particular levels.
It really depends on the type of trading strategy and style you are going for. Some emphasize more on technical analysis like scalping. So in short it is enough with that technical analysis but it also can limit your options in strategies and opportunities that you can have.
which trading instuaremnts is enough for regular profit that is really difficult to make sure . because market most of the time move at random and never follow any trends.
i always depend on my fundamental analysis, technical analysis results it’s all about for a very short time.
It’s not down to just one thing as such, usually a mix but you may favour trading one of them
