Is this a scam or what?

Hi all,

I’m demo trading with FXCM for awhile now, and doing very well :); and today, the third time (!), in a short period, I experienced the following:

-when the market moves rapidly, first my dealing sound quits, then I try to close my positions and the close window does not come up, so I can’t close, it is not because the market is moving, simply no closing window appears!

Since this happened before, today I did put a limit stop -which for sure automatically will close my positions , right…well no it didn’t.

After the sound disappeared I was at the screen watching the chart and as the market movement reached the limit stop it did not close the position!!

I just couldn’t believe it.

…and then everything was back in normal.

The tech support told me that nobody called in…and they will help me to troubleshoot…

It wasn’t my pc, everything else worked perfectly, even my sound device, I’m absolutely positive that it was FXCM’s platform fault.

I read about this before, that Forex brokers manipulate their platforms…

Any of you had experience like this?

I am normally quick to side with the brokers on these things, but… FXCM just keeps coming up over and over again:mad:

Give someone else a try.

The same and similar tactics are practiced by many other brokers, we really don’t have many choices unfortunately.

FXCM was one of the orginal 5 brokers i tryed when i first started, personally i think they are not very good, and i to have heard different examples of people have simalar problems

i’m with fxsol and i have yet to have a problem with trades closing. and after being with them for 3 years i have no complaints at all.

Hi,

Thanks for your inputs!

Do you have any other suggestions for Forex platforms besides fxsol?

I’m almost ready to open a live mini account and looking for a reputable brokers.

Who are the good ones?

Thanks,

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!

FXCM’s new advert banner is a direct rip off of the Babypip’s Logo.

I’m with FXCM, my only broker since I just started live in February and although I have experienced the ‘freezing’ effect you mention, it has only occurred around news times and when my trade was finally executed (closed) it closed at the correct price, either my limit price or the current market price when I hit the close button.
The freezing effect is scary but so far I have not had it affect my trades. However if a trade keeps going in my favor & I already hit close, I don’t get the extra pips either!
So far FXCM has been easy to work with, good customer service, I work with one rep who responds promptly to emails or phone calls. I did a lot of research before choosing FXCM and so far I am fine with them.
Have not had any personal experience with FX-Sol.

I’m looking for a good broker for a micro account … any suggestions? I want to open a separate micro account so I can practice-trade with real money … just not too much LOL
