& Thankyou sir, pipmehappy you always have good advice as well I have seen quite a few of your posts , it’s always good to learn something from a experienced trader
I agree. It’s really good to know that there are these experienced trader who are very generous in sharing there knowledge.
THank you, LibertySilver and RateUp, and I agree… When people like PipNRoll, GrixFX, Huck, Emeraldorc, and others (gp00053, PipCrawler, etc.) talk, I like to listen!
By the way, I may have been trading since Sep. 2012, but I am in no way ‘experienced’… Thanks for the compliment, though, and I absolutely agree that, until I will have time to contribute to these posts, then I will keep doing so…
Cheers.
Trading is a skill, just like sports, arts, medicine, etc. The education and knowledge is out there, but having the discipline to learn and develop a method that works for you is the question. Having what it takes to step up and take risks, and do the work necessary to review and improve your trading is what is required to become a trader, but controlling your emotions when, not IF, you lose money, is what will turn a trader to a successful one. A plan that works for you is important as well, but being able to stick to it day in and day out is critical…good luck everyone and be patient))
BELIEVE you can do it …pick 1 thing to trade eg gold …(as you know) you dont get the whipsaws or spikes that you do on curriencies ntohing like a whipsaw to kill your confidence and a/c bal ,WAIT for PINBAR or or Jfox signals preferrably on daily untill you understand the direction of the trend … this will teach you patience… this is not a get rich tomorrow game …you have to serve your apprenticeship…imo…cheersQ
i only got time to read your frustration today and i understand your situation. i am now about to start trading myself, and why i took so long to start is because i placed myself in trying to study this market carefully and taking the hints from all who have to offer advise.
especially following babypips.com school and forums. part of my training was putting myself as a real trader by pretending to have the amount of capital that i want to start trading with; i can safely say how you feel, evening though it was only a demo i was on.i put myself out there as if it was the real thing and emotions frustration etc even over came me. and so for the past 4 months it got me to become a carefully trader. i used the demo and traded a micro acct. and practice to develop a proper money management system. i plan to update this forum once a month to let all to know how my trading is going, by the way i am starting to trade a micro account.
Awesome I wish you best of luck what pairs will you be focusing on ? & yeah @ times it can just be very overwhelming , but I’m still learning everyday
I am now looking into Eur/Usd, Aud/Jpy, Aud/Usd, Eur/Gbp. I am still focusing on one pair at a time. will try to update my progress soon.
We need to be a patient trader, have good psychology and controlling skill. Forex trading can not be done with emotion because if we trade with emotion, we will lose our all money in forex.
At some point I agree with you CahCuncun. But that are just some pointers to consider though. Knowledge and developed skills are also major factor to become a successful trader, and a good choice of broker as well.
I got A question for anybody ,
Have you ever waited for a good set up in the market that would return like 400+ pips & then to find out you get stopped out a day befor the move you’ve been waiting all week for ?
And and your whole trading week ends up getting thrown off ??
Any similar situations with anybody els …
Yes, too many to care to remember
Forex Trading is a serious business and you are right that it not for everybody. Number of successful trader are few and those are dedicated traders. But you got to pay what you got to pay. It is one of the best opportunities in the world and makes you rich in a span of dew years of time which other days jobs cant. If you wish to go this on this path you must know what are the things you shall master and what are the things you have to sacrifice.
Believe me its the job of a serious person. It really takes a lot of dedication to become successful in this field but when you compare the kind of money you will make in this field after 5 years of experience with other jobs you will realize that it is worth it… Best of luck to you.
