Lost 20 points today. I end the month with +219 points / 177 € / 17 %. I think I can be proud of myself. It is the best month ever in every aspect for me. I increased my position size from 0.1 € to 2 € per point. I changed from CFDs to KO certificates and this is why I am able to risk a bigger proportion of my account. ROI is higher. I won’t increase my size next month. I want to trade a full month with the current size.
New month! What do I want to do differently? I think I want to try to let winners run longer. There were a few good opportunities in october to bank 100 - 200 points on one position, adding to winners not included. But somehow I cashed out for only 40 -70 points. I want to try to be a little more patient in november.

I scaled up x20 right before a couple of very good weeks. Although I am happy about it, I know that I won’t be able to maintain this high returns. My approach just performed exeptionally good, I even left many many points on the table.
Also as I am trading with what I call a “small account” of only 1000,- € and work with leverage of x50 - x80 my percentage returns are huge! This will change too because over time I want to reduce my risk percentage per point a little bit.
I have already decided to increase my deposit to 2000,- € but I will keep trading 2 € per point until the month ends. Then I will continue with 3 € per point.
I won back everything I lost with my current broker, which means now I am in taxable territory. My broker already withdrew tax last friday.
All profits I posted and will post in the future are before tax. Just so you know.

I lost touch with your journal somehow - but good to see how well you are doing. I have an IG account here in UK but the Turbo24 does not seem to have been promoted very well in UK. This does seem to get around the leverage problems of adding to trades that I have always found infuriating for traders on lower timeframes. Turbo24 is something I must take a serious look at.

good to hear from you! I hope you are well. Yeah my trading improved a lot. I am very enthusiastic for 2025. IG is making improvements with Turbo24 and it is not available until January 10. Just open a demo account then.

Unfortunately IG tell me that Turbo24 is not available to UK account holders, probably something to do with damn regulations. Don’t you just get sick of incompetent politicians telling you what you can do? I’m off to Cambodia on 9thJan. They have rules in Cambodia but no one bothers to obey them - a very free county. If the police can be bothered to enforce driving laws it’s a $3 fine or a $2 bribe. 
Lovely working anarchy - put it top of your bucket list of places to visit and give me shout when you do! I warn you now, though, you’ll only need a one way ticket!

Hello fellow traders. The first quarter of 2025 ist over. It was a good quarter for me.
I traded from January 15th on a 1000 € account and doubled it by the end of March. I compounded my gains and increased position size to achieve that.
Here are my stats:
I really think I evolved enough to stay profitable. I started mid 2021, so it took me 3 years to make more than I lose and another 6 months to learn to handle this new feeling of profitability.
I added another 1000 € to my account and increased position size accordingly. Wish me luck for the next quarter!

Actually I reduzed my size, but thats only because DAX is very volatile at the moment. I still increased my full position, but traded only 25 % or 50 % positions. In January I traded mostly full positions or 50 % positions.
Edit 2:
And I traded not every day of the week. Mostly only on 3 days per week.
