Just finished the FX school .. yuppee

Wow … it’s really really a great school … funny so i never got bored (except in the big nations economy part :stuck_out_tongue: … it was funny too but a little long) .

It took me 16 days to finish the school.

I took the personality quizzes & I’ve chosen the closest answers that describe me … the results were:
Q1:Which Trading Style is Best for You?
A1:Swing trader
Q2:Which Currencies Should You Trade?
A2:Major pairs.
Q3:Should You Be a Discretionary, Mechanical, or Hybrid Trader?
A3:Hybrid trading
Q4:What Kind of Mechanical System Suits Your Personality?
A4:Mean reversion system
Q5:What is Your Attitude towards Risk?
A5:Conscientious
Q6:What Kind of Stop Suits Your Trading Style?
A6:Chart stops

I dunno if those results suit me well or not cause i’ve been asked about situations that i’ve never experienced b4 … but i answered with what i expect from myself.

There was tons of info and i feel really confused where to start from … and i almost bookmarked all the school pages  cause i sure will need to read it when again.

I think i’ll start with forums here to take a hint … and i really appreciate ur advice here in this thread :).

thanx

Congrats on completing the school, it’s a good place to start and you’ve taken the time out to learn the basics (which is more than a lot of people end up doing)

The forums are full of information and people willing to help you out with the best advice possible, what are you’re immediate plans? Do you have a demo account or a particular strategy you want to work on?

Thnx Aesop :),I have a demo account of fxdd … but i havn’t developed any strategy yet … i just want to pull the start of string … there are many many tools there … i wanna pick mine

I finished school few months ago.its a good start now look for inner circle trader on the forum section.thats a gold mine.plan for another 3months.no hurry

Thanks Esmont, I’m checking the videos soon

Congratulatons on finishing school Hoka, well done my friend and I hope you do well with your demo a/c to start

Hi Esmont, yes - it does indeed seem that ICT is also an excellent source of education/knowledge, so I’ll likewise be checking him out when I get through school…

Best of luck to you both

Thanks Jessey … best of luck in school … and i see u made many posts there … nice

I wish you all the best on your trading

I have found an article about the carry trade. Using the difference between a 2 countries interest rates to make money very interesting

Congrats, Hoka! After reading a fair number of trading books, I’ve realised that the quality and quantity of information found in the Babypips school is exceptional, especially for beginners. Good luck in your learning.

Congrats to you…

I get overwhelmed when there are so many information that Ive read and I don’t quite understand what they are talking about. So what I did after I went to BP School, I open a demo account and start picking up my currency pair (I think it was GB/USD) and place my buy/sell and see what happen. I just wanted to get my feet wet and trying to get a feel of the market. I get lucky that first trade but lossing after that. … :frowning: But it was a great feeling that I did it. I am more a “Hands-on”. I like to apply right away what Ive learn and learn from my mistakes then re reading again along the way. You can do the same thing if you like…that’s what the Demo account is for

Good-luck!
Sheryl

Thanks margret :),i think carry trade takes long time to make good profits, u tried it?

Thanks King, sure Babypips rocks

Thanks Shery, best of luck in demo … i’m now testing the Cowabunga System …u may take a look at it, and the blog gives good exp

No Problem…

I am trading live (with a small amount) for the pass 9 months. I only did the Demo for 3 months. I didnt get the same feeling trading demo than trading live. I like the real deal. I am combining technical (Support/Resistance and Price Action) and fundamentals to my trade. I also trade the economic news from time to time. I still have a lot to learn but so far I am doing good but not as consistent as I would like. It just takes time

I went from scalping to position trading, swing trading, daytrading, carry trading. Right now I am a mix of swing and day trader.

Explore all options with the demo account for several days to weeks. Choose one that is your favorite. Demo for months to years

Congrats on finishing school and do review some of the stickies, they provide tons of info which you are going to need.
And yes, do read and re-read some of the school pages, esp on charting - it can take a while to get used to all the info and put it to use. Once again, congrats!

Congratulations Hoka. your dedication would serve you well.
I think the next step is to review everything you’ve read, while looking at charts and applying what you have learned in the school. Spend more time on charts and reading (the school, articles, and others), and less on forums.
