hi so i’m pretty new. Right now I’m trying to just get through pip school i’m almost done preschool and thought it would hurt to demo even though i haven’t made it through pip school yet. like most newbs here i imagine, i came because the apparent advantages over the stock market, the stock market is just so overwhelming and has to many barriers, its weird how common people talk about so much while alot of times not even knowing that forex exists… so long story short over a year ago i was demoing the stock market and the most i mange to make was 0.5% in one day and many times losing money aswell, but yesterday i downloaded and app called metatrader 4 and demoed 5000$ after just a little knowledge from a few videos and pip school i managed to turn that into 7500 in one day! thats 50% returns… now dont’t worry i know im still newb and have a lot to learn so im going to wait till i have finished pip school and have demoed for a while and then begin with small lots after i jump in… but if you can , can you explain why it just felt so natural, like it didn’t even feel challenging , also i probably put no less then 2 hours in cause i kinda got bored and feel like i could have made even more… what can i learn from this???
As you work your way thru pipschool you will realise that you were taking massive risks with your capital, risks you would not take if it were real money.
Every noobie learning on demo does the same, then when they use real money and a trade goes against them fear and panic set in as they realise they aren’t playing anymore.
When I enter fx competitions I trade much as I did in demo, huge risks, huge gains, and huge losses. It doesn’t matter, its just a bit of fun
Carry on with demo as you study, practice new strategies, learn the platform.
Nice job on your successful demo trades. There’s no turning back now, you’re a forex lifer. I had a similar experience with my first demo account years ago. It was exciting and new and I felt like trading came naturally to me. Then I funded a real account. The market gave me a hard and fast reality check. My advice to you is don’t jump in too quickly, because the water is deep and full of hungry sharks! Take your time to learn, develop a trading system, and prove the system works on a demo account begore risking any real money. Good luck!
