I have Alpari history DataBase going back a few years. I need to find the price action of a few pairs in December 2008. Is their way to tell MetaTrder4 to jump back to a specific date or do I need to hold my finger on the Back Button for a long time?

I’m afraid you will have to do it using hard old method- by keeping back button pushed for a while

Unless there are some kind of indicators to do that quickly, but I haven’t heard of such things yet.

Switch to a weekly or monthly chart and scroll back till the dates you want are near the middle of the chart.

Then switch to a lower time frame and you should be there!

If it doesn’t work and it jumps you forward in time that means you have the historical data on the larger time frames, but not the shorter TFs.
