in a test vote in the Senate: 0 in favor - 57 opposed,
with most Democrat senators voting “present”.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), the Brooklyn bartender who is now a rookie congresswoman in the House of Representatives, has become the poster-child for the Libtard Movement in this country. And she’s furious that her wacko scheme for sending America back to the 18th century was put to a vote by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Prior to the vote, AOC fired off this rant:
- “What McConnell’s doing is that he’s trying to rush this bill to the floor without a hearing, without any markups — because he doesn’t want to save our planet. Because he thinks we can drink oil in 30 years when all our water is poisoned.”
And McConnell responded with a series of tweets:

The Green New Deal, my Democratic colleagues’ rallying cry: Killing off entire domestic industries. Winding down millions of jobs. Basically outlawing the only sources of energy that working-class and middle-class families can actually afford.

It’s remarkable to see a party coalesce around a proposal to forcibly remake the entire country on the whims of Brooklyn and San Francisco. But it’s been even more stunning to see my Democrat colleagues angry and upset that the plan they support is about to get a vote.

Later today, the American people will see which of their senators can do the common-sense thing and vote “no” on this destructive socialist daydream.

And they’ll see which senators are so fully committed to radical left-wing ideology that they can’t even vote “no” on self-inflicted economic ruin that would take a sledgehammer to America’s middle class.

Seattle ‘Autonomous Zone’ Protesters Call 911 Over Literal Dumpster Fire

June 12, 2020Protesters who’ve set up their own “autonomous zone” spanning several city blocks in Seattle had to call 911 to put out a literal dumpster fire they’d set in their shantytown.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Photos and videos began circulating on Thursday night when a literal dumpster fire – not just the metaphorical one that pretty well describes…well, Seattle – was started just outside the “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone,” a ramshackle community hastily erected by Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists who’ve cordoned off an entire section of the city using old fencing, police barricades and other debris.
The hippie commune has set up lean-to shelters and their own bullying, leaderless “security” team, shaking down businesses unlucky enough to have fallen within their own self-proclaimed community boundary.
But apparently, they haven’t gotten around to establishing their own fire department. Protesters had to call emergency services after the dumpster fire began raging out of control Thursday, threatening their shantytown.
Once the blaze was put out by taxpayer-funded emergency responders, protesters went back to screaming about fascism, police oppression and how socialism can save us all.
