I am extremely new to this and looking for recommendations on a good broker to use. Any info would be very helpful.

in order to my trading understanding i think when choosing a broker we should make sure one which ensures security of funds with a wide range of trading technologies. thats all.

Please don’t rely on people you don’t know to find you a broker.
Look for regulated broker in your own country or open an account with a UK based fca regulated broker.
That way if they go bust you are still covered by the fscs compensation scheme

You should check reviews here and Forexpeacerarmy .com. There are also similar threads on this forum where recommendation have been given. You initial capital, country and strategy would determine what kind of broker to use. Also, be care about the email address above, don’t be a victim of fraud.

If you are new to Forex, you should study the subject first. Its too early for choosing a broker.
Of course, you should decide for yourself and not rely on answers from other people, because the choice of your broker depends on your country and your strategy as a trader.
Also, you should look up recommendations about different kinds of brokers (for example, as I know, ASIC brokers are not bad).
I live in the US, and want a broker that has no limits on how long you can demo trade for.
Oanda. Been trading demo for months and months. Just works. Tried forex.com, but you have to request an extension after a couple weeks. That could be different today.
In the US, your choices for regulated brokers are the above, or IG, TDA or Interactive Brokers (I think).

I thought this might help you find a broker that suits you best. I mean, super basic ad probably have been mentioned already. But yeah, might help you understand it better. 
Have you looked into Forexchief?. That is a very easy broker to use with quick access to the market. Broker provides lower spreads than I previously use. There are no prohibitions on what strategy to use.
have you checked any review about this brokerage in FPA where real traders express their views about their platforms.
You should use a stealth account to trade with some none USA brokers. They offer better trading conditions. The many restrictions on USA brokers do not allow for flexibility. Forexchief offers such a demo account, but they do not accept traders from US
