Loonie Strong Against Euro, Uncertain Against Dollar
Friday, February 16, 2007 10:18:49 AM - While the loonie was uncertain against the dollar in Friday’s trading, the currency saw strength against the euro. The Canadian dollar moved on little economic news from Canada.
The Canadian dollar saw little decisive movement against its American counterpart on Friday. The currency hit a high o f1.1622 and a low of 1.1652 through the morning action. The loonie is nearing a seven week high against the dollar.
Against the euro, the loonie saw strength late in the morning. The currency rose to a mark of 1.5260 in the mid-morning trading. The Canadian dollar has been in a range against the euro since late November.
