Lot Size Calculation

You seem to be suggesting that for a pair in which the quote currency is the US dollar, for every $1,000 in the account, you use a position-size of 0.1 lots.

I’m amazed, and wondering whether I totally misunderstood?

Everywhere else I look, in forums and in books and on websites, the forex position-sizes recommended seem to be around 0.01 lots for every $250 (or even $300) in the account, which means 0.04 lots (rather than 0.1 lots) per $1,000, unless I’ve worked it all out totally wrongly?

Your position-size is therefore at least two-and-a-half times as big as I’ve seen suggested anywhere else.

I hope you don’t mind being asked: do you have a spectacularly high win-rate, for however you’re trading?

One needs to know both the win-rate and the reward-to-risk of any method before determining a position-size, I think? But it’s clear that you’re doing something very different from anything I’ve heard of before.
