nano lots are a bunch of nonsense! Micro lots are best for starting up.
Tell me about it. I was so naive that the first ever trade I made was on a standard lot, simply because my broker wasnât offering micro, and I didnât know any better. Ended up losing almost all my capital in one blow.
There are 3 types of lot size, Standard lot - 100000 units, Mini lot - 0.1 = 10000 units and micro lot - 0.01 = 10000 units. As a beginner you should start trading using micro lot size.
Ah! Trading courses do help then. At least I knew the importance of a micro lot I started trading with fxview and fxcm on 0.01 lot. Thatâs the lowest they go.
Minimum position size on oanda is 0.00001
Are you sure about that?
Yeah, and I find this unique only to this broker, the trade size can come down to 1 unit (of that I am sure as I have used 0.001 micro lot myself)
0.01 is the smallest lot for you to trade, you cannot go below it.
Cent accounts are too boring. I would suggest micro lot for beginners. And also you will not find lot size smaller than 0.01 on Meta Trader anywhere.
As a beginner go for a micro or a mini lot, that should be fine to start trading. Also you cannot lower your trading size below 0.01. Goodluck
0.01 is the lowest lot size that you can trade with. If you still think that it is a big lot size, I think you should spend some more time on your demo account. It will give you confidence that prepares you for live trading. Take your own time to do your practice because if you enter the market without any preparation, you wonât be doing any good in the market.
What lot size is the best to trade in a live account for a beginner?
Did you check these out?
I truly believe that the micro lot is the best for my trading requirements. It helps me keep my position sizes smaller to fine-tune risk on a small account. The choice of the lot size is very important because you can risk what you can afford to risk and prevent potential losses.
